- Regular ER Verbs (present tense)
- Er verbs are verbs that end in er. They are just like regular ar verbs but
- get slightly different endings. The verbs leer-to read and creer-to believe
- are er verbs. I read is leo. He reads is lee.(He or she or you will be used
- interchangably). Leen is they read and leemos is we read.
- To reiterate: Regular ER verbs (present tense)
- verb stem + o = I
- verb stem + e = he or you or she
- verb stem + en = they
- verb stem + emos= we
- Regular IR Verbs (present tense) * Ir verbs have their own endings. They are:
- verb stem + o = I
- verb stem + e = he or she or you
- verb stem + en = they
- verb stem + imos= we
- That's it for the regular present tense verbs. To get some practice with
- verbs use the Main Menu choice PHRASES/VERBS. This PHRASE/VERB menu will
- allow you to both learn the infinitives of verbs and to practice conjugation.
- Before you do that you will need to learn about the past and future tenses of
- the ar and er and ir verbs. You will also need to know a few irregular verbs.
- Regular AR Verbs (past tenses). Just like the present tense we form the past.
- verb stem + é = I | ie. hablé = I spoke
- verb stem + ó = you | ie. habló = he spoke
- verb stem + aron= they | ie. hablaron= they spoke
- verb stem + amos= we | ie. hablamos= we spoke
